Each member of the Range Family of companies is a full service communications solutions provider. Small business or large, residential, communications carrier or ISP, our service offerings and advanced fiber optic network truly provides worldwide communications connectivity.
Range Telephone began offering communications throughout southeastern Montana and northeastern Wyoming in 1953. In 1991 and 1994, Dubois Telephone Exchange (DTE) and RT Communications joined the Range Family and doubled the total number of telephone exchanges and customers served. In 1997 Advanced Communication Technology joined the corporate family and began offering a wide variety of Internet and data services to the entire Range family of companies.
In 2001, the Range family completed the installation of an advanced fiber optic network between Montana and Wyoming. This new facility connects the Montana Advanced Information Network (MAIN) and major interstate carriers in Casper, Wyoming. New fiber facilities were installed west of Casper in 2002, completing fiber connectivity to Northwest Wyoming. Additional fiber builds are currently underway that will extend this optical network to over 1000 miles and connect all of northern Wyoming and southeastern Montana to the global telecommunications network.
